lyrics
Hey there! Do you want to join in my life party?
Don’t know much what’s going on,
Doesn’t really matter ‘cos I quite enjoy it.
I’m only nine, haven’t any worries,
I don’t think any bigger than my world around me.
Everything I see, hear, and feel so clearly
Hasn’t got a label so I simply enjoy it.
Hey there! Hey there, Mark
Are you coming out to play?
Hey there! Hey there!
It’s Saturday morning and I’ve got my Levis on. Let’s get on our bikes
And explore the world.
My world is as big as my bicycle allows.
Its only as long as my legs can take me anywhere I want to,
But it’s always woods, fields, and rivers.
I like being nine ‘cos I’m feeling quite grown up;
I’ve got my fags and I’ve got my matches,
My special place to stash them in,
A fantastic den for me to go and smoke in.
Hey there! Hey there, John,
Are you coming out to play?
Hey there! Hey there!
I’ve got a camera, let’s take some photographs. I’m Captain Kirk, you’ll be Spock and Bones.
Naughty things that kids are getting up to,
A two pence piece in a phone box so I can be rude to you,
Although I’ll never meet you
(There really is a pig farmer called Smellie).
We laughed so hard we nearly sicked up our fizzy Flying Saucers and our Black Jacks.
I’m off home, it’s nearly tea time, but I’ll be back to see you in the morning.
Hey there! Hey there, John,
Are you coming out to play?
Hey there! Hey there!
Let’s steal some sweets and walk the railway line. Let’s make some rhythms
And guess the tune.
Hey there! Hey there, Friends,
Are you coming out to play?
Hey there! Hey there!
I’ve got no worries, let’s find something to do. Let’s go to Ghost Hill woods
And make a den.
Hey there! Hey there, Friends,
Are you coming out to play?
Hey there! Hey there!
I’ve got no worries, let’s find something to do. Let’s fart and laugh,
Enjoy the day. Enjoy the day. Enjoy the day.

Composed by David Dowdeswell-Allaway, who sang lead vocals, played guitars, drums and percussion. Lorenzo added backing vocals, as did Joanna Swan and Trudi Brunskill. Trombone and tuba were played by Benjamin Pugh with other parts played by Alphonse Bongo's World of Brass.
Spektakulär. Es gibt kein anderes Wort dafür.
Vielen Dank für die Gelegenheit, eines der besten Prog-Alben aller Zeiten zu hören.

I remember the excitement when The Sentinel was released having seen the band live a few times before. I loved the album but was aware that there were tracks missing and it had been rumoured that it was to be a double album. To hear all these takes and works in progress takes me right back to the 80's and the buzz of all the new prog that was coming out back then. This is an absolutely essential purchase for any Pallas fan. nuttinikki
